This week we just went over on the touch ups of our finals. and got feedback from the tutors and also had time to redo some other stuff.

This class we just had a look at what everyone has done over the 2week holiday and had a critique. printed out what we had and had most of the book completed.

2week holiday
My final collages , ive simplified it a little.
Ive stuck the collages before these on my book and i think the other collages were a bit too busy and so I've simplified it a bit.

Week 4
Week 4
Class 7
This class we had to show our work for others to critique and give us feedback. We worked on the development of our placing of the collage and the paragraphs on the page of our brochure. We chose what layout would suit our brochure better which if it was landscape or portrait. I chose to work with landscape for my brochure because its suits my subject matter better. Im doing swimming in wellington and pools, beaches and rivers are usually taken in landscape pictures. I developed my collages a bit from my last ones.
These are my developments from my last collages and i got feed back that the pool collage is a bit to busy and i need to link my collages with the page that has the information on it. The pattern on the river is not quite right because the river kind has the visual component which is the flow of the river..
Our main focus for the next class is to develop more copies with different ideas of one theme of the brochure. We are to collect brochures from around the city, good and bad.

This class we had progress within our collages and critique each others work. We had individual time with the tutor to get feedback on what we needed to work on. I looked at ideas for my little booked on indesign.
Our independent study I have to come up with composition for my booklet on indesign, expand my ideas and work on mastering indesign.

week 2
Week 2.
Class 3
In this class we did a lot of exercises to help us develop of our ideas and themes. I brought an object from home that relates to theme, glasses. We drew it in a lot of different techniques, using both my hands trying it in different moods, using different mediums. We looked at different patterns which tell what the mood of the place represents.
For independent study we are continuing on from week 1 homework, research our artist precedents style of graphic design. Developing sketches, thumbnails for our design.
These are a couple of digital versions of some of my thumbnails, Also using different designs for the heading for my brochure.

Today we looked at different books and different designs, we were assigned to write down the different adjectives different designs had. We showed or four three different places and artist precedents and the class got to see all the different places we were doing.
Also we helped them make their idea more clear so that audience understands the three places and the activity without any words.
Our independent study for next week is to start creating collages, cover and four compositions, looking at our artist models.

This week we were introduced into the course and given the brief to read and understand. We were shown examples of the project we are about to do and got critiqued our pairs independent study from Monday. We discussed the possible ideas for there project and shown how to complete this task each week.
This weeks independent study we have to come up with one theme and three ideas that relate to each other but yet different in a way. We have to use materials to create drafts and bring different materials to the next class to share with the class. Collect physical materials, 3D objects at least one.
This week i spent some time looking at different swimming spots in Wellington in three different areas, beaches, pools and rivers in Wellington.
